18 Rabbit gets its name from the ancient Mayan king of the same title who is renowned for having brought art, architecture, and culture to the people of the Copan civilization. 18 Rabbit Gallery aspires to be the "art king" of Ft. Lauderdale.

Our exhibition space is 2000 sq ft, a raw, industrial warehouse, with exposed Dade-pine ceilings and concrete floors. It is climate-controlled, capable of housing large-scale works and is currently being transformed into a space that will showcase contemporary artwork made by some of the worlds finest emerging and established artists.

Each month we will exhibit new work by some of our favorite artists, as well as inviting guest curators to share their vision through planned exhibitions. We also anticipate hosting events, performances, classes, and are open to suggestions from the public about how to become more than just a gallery, but a true center for an art community.
